Machine builder requires a reliable industrial Ethernet switch that allows Ethernet-based devices to communicate at the system (machine) level, as well as port out to the factory floor to integrate with other process machinery. Serial-to-Ethernet server allow reliable and high speed data transfer to remote control center.
Factory uses unmanaged Ethernet switches which are designed to withstand the wide temperature shifts (-40°C to +75°C) and vibrations. All of these switches support multimode fiber and come with a solid 5-year warranty, provide alarm relay contact outputs to warn operators and system controllers when the power fails or a port link breaks.
