EMP2-X404 is a PCIe 2.0 compliant expansion card supporting configurable RS-232 / 422 / 485 modes with data rates ranging from 4800 to 3Mbps (RS-232 at 921.6Kbps) and 256-byte FIFOs. It operates in industrial temperatures from -40°C to 85°C and provides full RS-232 functionality via a DB9 connector. The card minimizes mechanical intervention by eliminating the need for a daughterboard, and it offers termination resistor control via a DIP switch, with RI / 5V / 12V output switched by a jumper. ESD protection is included to prevent damage.
